Kawazu

Kawazu, famous for some of the earliest blooming cherry blossoms in the whole of Japan, is a small town along the south of the Izu Peninsula. It is also home to the Kawazu Seven Waterfalls.

How to get to Kawazu

There are two main ways to travel to Kawazu (excluding car) so depending on your budget, time and preferred means of transport you have plenty of options.

✿ Bullet Train (Shinkansen)/train

From Tokyo Station, take the bullet train to Atami station and switch to the JR Ito Line.

Cost: ¥7,270 (as of December 2020)
Time: 124 minutes

✿ Local Train

From Tokyo Station, take the JR Tokaido Line for Atami. Switch to the JR Ito Line. Alternatively, you can take Limited Express Odoriko straight from Tokyo Station.

Cost: ¥3,700 – 5,800 (as of December 2020)
Time: 151 -212 minutes
